I remember buying Thriller, driving up north with the windows & sun roof open and feeling the music in every fiber of my being.
I remember watching the train wreck that Michael Jackson became, and wondering why there was no one in his life who loved him enough to get him back on track.
I remember wondering if his concert tour was going to be the comeback that so many of us secretly hoped it would be, or just another way to exploit the genius that was Michael Jackson.
This Is It , film footage from the rehearsals of the concert, opens today and I am on the fence. Do I buy into the hype and attend one of the showings, or do I take the moral high ground and refuse to exploit the king of pop any further?
I am sure I am not alone in feeling ambiguous about this - how do you feel?
Are you going?
