Hi Everyone!!  

It's Jessica Biffi.  I am getting so excited for the launch of my newest collection with Addition Elle. I am in love with this collection!  I just received a very exciting box in the mail, with all of my pieces in it - and the little girl on her birthday giggles totally came out!  As the the weather is getting colder, some of you out there might not be into it, but...I LOVE FALL!!!  The fall collection is perfect for this crisp weather we have started getting.  As a lover of fall, and a plus size woman, I am always on the hunt for great mix and match piece to layer and change up in my wardrobe.  Obviously when designing the collection I kept that in mind, and I am so proud to introduce you to Jessica Biffi for Addition Elle fall 2010.  

The collection has some staple pieces that will for sure find a permanent home in your closets for seasons to come, like great fitting skinny jeans (yes I have brought them back - but in a sexy new way), and shorter leggings that will make both boot lovers, and petite women alike very happy!  Also I made sure to use rich, vibrant colours in the more fashion forward pieces that will take you from fall to holiday and keep you looking stylish, sexy and confident!!  The theme is military - so get ready for more Biffi signature details like exposed zippers, gold snaps and buttons and a little edge, in a very feminine way.  

I'm also excited to announce that I will be at the Yonge and Temperance Addition Elle location in my beloved city of Toronto, on Tuesday September 14th!!  As some of you may know, I used to work as a visual merchandiser at this store back in the day before I started my own line -Jessica Biffi, and my success on Project Runway Canada.  The store has a special place in my heart, and getting to see some of my regular customers again is always fun - and having them love wearing my collections is SUPER exciting.  Please come out from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and join me for drinks, tasty treats, music, models, fashion, autographs and more, as I kick off my tour of store visits across Canada all next week.

Hello Everyone!

Firstly I would like to thank everyone who came out and supported at all of our exciting fashion launch parties across Canada in April, and an even bigger thank you to all the amazing customers that shopped Jessica Biffi for Addition Elle and Bold Biffi for MXM.  You are who I made it for, and I am so pumped that you loved it!!  

After the mad success of the first spring collection, I'm back on board with Addition Elle for a fall capsule collection!  Jessica Biffi for Addition Elle Fall 2010 is going to be even better than my first plus collection!

Hello everyone!

After a tour spanning from my home base of Toronto, to my home town of Guelph, beautiful Langely, BC, amazing Calgary and finally exciting Edmonton -  I just wanted to thank everyone that came out to support my two plus size lines, Jessica Biffi for Addition Elle and Bold Biffi for MXM (sold at Penningtons)!!

It really was amazing to get the chance to see first hand the effect that clothing can have on people and that effect that I have as a designer.  The one thing that I really wanted to do with my lines was make women feel beautiful, sexy comfortable and most importantly - confident!  I saw young women to ladies in their 70s wearing and buying my collections - and that is so amazing!!
I wanted to give the plus size woman that bit of Jessica Biffi that I thought they were looking for, but what I experienced was that much more rewarding.  I met so many lovely people, from excited customers and incredible staff that came in from all over their respective cities and towns to help out at the Biffi parties.  

Also I celebrated my 27th birthday while on the road in Calgary, and wanted to say a big thank you to everyone that shared that night with me!  Thank you for the celebration and for the tasty cake that I hope all got to try!  

It truly was a fantastic tour and thank you to everyone again!!!

 Hi Everyone!

Its me, Jessica Biffi.  Today is the first of a series of exciting in store launch parties that will be happening across Canada for both Jessica Biffi for Addition Elle and Bold Biffi for MXM!!  I am so pumped to travel this beautiful country of ours to launch my two plus size collections.  Its been about 6 months in the making and I am so proud to share what I've created with customers in the stores on a personal level.  

As some of you may know, I got my start with Addition Elle when I was in my last year of university.  Flash-forward to 4 years later and I have two capsule collections!  This has been a dream come true and I would love to have you share it with me.  Today I will be at Addition Elle at Yonge and Temperance, in Toronto - my old store!  The party starts at 5:30 and you can shop with me until 9.  There are fun surprises, awesome goodie bags and of course - my collection!  Tomorrow is all about Bold Biffi for MXM as I travel to my hometown of Guelph to party it up at the Stone Road Penningtons store - a place I shopped a lot back in the day when I was in high school.  

Also if you're in the Montreal area - there are launch parties both in Addition Elle and Penningtons stores happening today and tomorrow!!  If you haven't already, please check out the websites to get info on where I will be, how to attend these fun shopping parties, and lists of the stores that will be carrying my collections.  A big thank you to everyone that has been waiting for the collections to drop in the party stores - it will be worth the wait, after all you get to share this with me!!

Its Jessica Biffi again.  I am so proud and excited to be launching my two plus size collections today!!  I will be previewing both Jessica Biffi for Addition Elle and Bold Biffi for MXM today at LG Fashion Week.  Also today is the day that both collections will be available in select stores and online!  It really means a lot to be to be partnered with two great plus size brands, and to be bring out two lines that I am so thrilled to be wearing.

It's Jessica Biffi again.  I just wanted to share my excitement over my plus collections launching this April in stores and online!

I wanted to give you all a little peek at what to look for in stores.  For Addition Elle, I was very inspired by the myth of the Phoenix, and used feathers and fire colours as my base, and added flattering pleats and draping to very cute tops that could work day or night.  For MXM, I want you to take a trip to India and Morocco with me.  I used the vibrant colours and gold details of these amazing cultures to create a very fun and playful, sexy collection.  My favourite pieces are the purple coin tunic and a teal embellished top.

Its Jessica Biffi here!  I'm getting more and more excited as the launch gets closer!  I was on the street the other day and saw one of my regular customers from when I worked at Addition Elle, at Yonge and Temperance in downtown Toronto.  She stopped me and asked me what I was working on these days, and she freaked out when I told her about the plus size collections I've designed.  For me that's one of the best things about this amazing partnership with between Jessica Biffi and Addition Elle and MXM - I know the customer and get to dress her in a different way now.  I'm also very happy to say that I will be at the Yonge and Temperance store again in the near future for an exciting launch party for loyal customers.  I will be crossing Canada during the first few weeks of April to launch the collections in selected stores.  I love interacting with my customers, just like how I got to the other day, and I hope that you will stay tuned for more information about cities I will be visiting and hope to see you at the parties!!

Its Jessica Biffi.  I really wanted to share something with you all today, that is very dear to me.  As some of you may know, Alexander McQueen was my favourite designer.  His work spoke to me as a young woman, and his voice called to me as a designer.  I still remember the first show that shaped me to be the designer I am today, and the designer I hope to be one day be - and that was my first experience with Alexander McQueen.  It is with a heavy heart that I morn him today.  

He was not a plus size designer, but he was a creator that inspired me.  A true tailor and someone that worshiped his craft, I respected him whole heartedly.  He is, and will forever be one of the biggest inspirations in my work.  I strive to be the artist that he is, weather it is in creating my own label's collections, or the new collections that I have created for Addition Elle and MXM.

He will be greatly missed.
