I open this blog entry with a copy of an emotional question from another blog.
"My sister has gained alot of weight from a medical condition … she's about a size 24 now … She got through the summer in Walmart capris and big tshirts… but she's starting a new job as a school aide next week, and needs casual professional clothes. And she's been crying her eyes out trying to find some in her price range. She is also a metalhead type chick and needs clothes for outside of work when she goes to concerts etc."
I have met with similar conversations and questions at home and at work.
My wife and two daughters are transitional women. 50% of the time they are regular size and 50% of the time they are plus size and the other 50% of the time they are in between. (I know that adds up to 150%).
The point that I am trying to make is that today women's fashion is accomodated in women's plus size shops as much as it is in the regular size women's stores. It is a requirement to stay in business. I think there are times when the plus size stores are more "on current trend" then the balance of the womens stores. This comment is not mine it is from my very fashionable family.
The biggest issue for a plus woman are the selection of stores. They are limited and when non-specialty stores carry plus sizes they often hide the assortment in the back. e.g. any department store
Below is the link to our site three brands of plus clothing. I think after you shop the pages you will say that I can find fashion here.
