I forgot to mention that I am responsible for our online Plus size store.
http://www.1-plus.com/
Here are a few statistics of our PLUS business and I have a few questions that I hope you the readers can answer.
We have more than a million 14+ women who carry one of our division's loyalty cards and have shopped our plus fashions. Over the last year through communication within Addition Elle and Penningtons stores, through postings on our websites and through emails to thousands of our loyal plus customers , only a very small percentage have made an online purchase. We developed this online Plus womens shopping store to provide more shopping possibilities and shopping experiences for our customers. Plus fashions shopping from the convenience of your home.
Is it the comfort with buying online or is it that we just feel more comfortable preshopping online but going into the store knowing that I can touch and try on the latest fashions?
We do notice that the further that our online Plus customers are from a "real" store the more likely they are to make a purchase online.
We also know that our average online shopper is much younger and often buys from the MXM Junior fashion line.
I know online shopping is not for everyone , is it the concern of providing personal information and credit card details that is stopping those that have not shopped for plus clothing online?
