Living the Plus Life at Work and Home

What will it take to get back to the normal routine? What we're used to? What we are all comfortable with?

Those shortbread cookies, the eggnog and the over indulging of all the Xmas cheer certainly did not help the waistlines in my household. It is a great time of the year but there can be consequences for all of us. (men and women) My waist is larger then it was in December 23rd.

Plus women and regular size women across Canada and the US are having the same revelation. My pants are tighter! That means we had a good time and now we have to be more diligent in watching what we consume.

In my household there are 5 individuals (inclusive of our golden retriever) on a diet to enable the shedding of an inch or two. I think there are 5 different diets and three different gym memberships. (mine is I walk our plus canine)

January is the month that every gym and exercise club offers great deals and this is also the month that plus swimwear, plus active wear and fleece are neccessities and are in stock for our customers.

Above I used the word "normal". Normal is a personal definition. It is where we are comfortable and where we need to be (emotionally and financially). For me it is not Brad Pitt (even though I think there is some resemblance); it is simply a happy family and  challenging work. 

The other "normal" is how will the current economy affect all of our plus customers in Canada. As I mentioned regarding our plus waistlines the reason to buy may be much more on necessity and replacement of a worn out white blouse or a need for a new size of plus denim because my size 18 plus has changed to a size 16 plus.

Penningtons, MXM and Addition Elle are all at this moment receiving some  tremendous 2009 spring fashions. Maybe dropping by and  picking up something fresh and new will help our "normal" plus quest.
