Dexter & I headed out for our evening stroll, but it was clear a few minutes in that we were going to step it up a bit, 'cause baby it's cold outside!

This is the time of year when I tuck a pair of gloves into my pockets 'just in case', and I was glad they were there tonight.  Sooooooooooo... I am moving out of denial and conceding that Winter (the dreaded W word) is not too far off.  Perfect timing for plus size winter coats and sweaters to be on sale this week at Addition Elle. 


I find a short wool car coat the most versatile for this time
of year.  It is easy to wear to work, or to the mall on the
weekend.  You can dress it up with a beautiful ombre pashmina
or give it a sportier look with a wool scarf.   And, it keeps me
warm when walking the puppy - have I mentioned the puppy weighs 75 pounds?


Although I do have a ski jacket, it tends to live beside the shovels and doesn't come out quite as often as my car coat.



We met a customer during one of our store visits 
last week who told us she buys a new, black winter 
jacket every Fall, and was admiring our fur trimmed
jacquard ski jacket for this season.  

The detachable hood is a plus, particularly if you don't 'do' hats like me.  Hat hair is one of my pet peeves!
