I joined 1 Plus in 2005, bringing my passion for fashion and love of lingerie.

As a plus size woman, I am amazed at the evolution (or is it a revolution?) of size 14 plus fashion. Ladies, there is power in clothes that  fit both our curves and our lifestyle.

Some plus size clothing stores just don't get it.  The ADDITION ELLE  buying team is dedicated to enhancing the image of large size women.  We're making shopping plus size fashion fun, easy & exciting!

Hi Laura, I agree that the plus size industry has come along way. I run a fitness company for plus size people and have trained hundreds of men and woman. I still think the active wear for real could expand, I would love the opportunity to discuss the feeback I am getting from our clientele. Keep up the awesome work, Additional Elle has always been a great place to shop as I always leave feeling good!

Hi Laura: I agree that fashion has come a long way but some things have been forgotten. I an a heavy woman who does not want to have everything hanging out because my bathing suit is cut high. I would like to have boy shorts or a skirttini with shorts underneath. As for Lingerie there were more patterns and pretty coulours avaulable in the 70's then now. Can u see if you can get pretty panties that aren;t cut so high I was to look preety not emphsize my extra fat. Thanks Sharyn

Hi Laura. Great name! I am an AE employee in Ottawa and i constantly have women looking for more 'sexy things' lingerie around christmas just ins't cutting it anymore, and the market for plus size women's lingerie is growing everyday. I have heard countless stories of women sick of ordering from American based websites to find the lingerie/costumes they are looking for. Althought i know going all out in the category would be impossible, i know it would be appriciated if there was more of a selection all year-round.

Hi Sharyn, thanks for the feedback. We do have several skirtini and swim dress styles that offer more coverage, and our swim department also has a selection of board shorts and pareos. In lingerie, our Femme Fatale and Contour boy shorts are sexy without being too revealing; you may want to consider these on your next visit. Happy shopping! Laura
