One of my favorite wardrobing pieces this season is the shrug. These 'go anywhere' cardigans are available in several styles and create a variety of fashion looks.

But over the last few years, I've become very disappointed with the overall lack of style and designs of the clothing. Why could AE not have remained a store for the 'individual' who was quite comfortable paying extra for quality, well designed clothing? Now, the tops are, for the most part, cut off straight across the abdomen (a major flaw for 'large' women) and don't differ greatly from the styles offered through Penningtons. Fabrics don't flow, few are cut on the bias and most make the larger women look like overstuffed sausages tied in the middle. It's really too bad - it used to be a wonderful, reliable place to shop!! And Reitman's ought to know better - they've been in the business nearly as long as I've been alive!
